James F. "Hunkie" Dawson
James F. "Hunkie" Dawson, 70, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026 at his home.

He was born on June 14, 1956 in Tarentum, Allegheny County, PA, the son of the late Charles R. Dawson and Dorothy (Berz) Acre.
Jim was a 1975 graduate of Knoch High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed as a machinist with ESM Industries for many years. In his free time, Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, and treasured the time he spent with his beloved wife, Margie, especially taking walks and hiking together on local trails. Known for his generous heart, Jim was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his warm personality, kind spirit, and wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Margie (Bowser) Dawson; his brothers, Edward (Kathy) Dawson of Valencia, John (Michelle) Dawson of Saxonburg; sisters, Elma Sutej of Saxonburg and Martha Bowser (Robert Browne, Sr.) of Butler; sister-in-law, Luella Dawson of Saxonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Dawson, and brother-in-law, Thomas Sutej.
Family and friends will be received from 11AM until the time of services at 1PM on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg with Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to any family member.
