Dawna J. Niceley

Dawna J. Niceley, age 92, of Kittanning, PA, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born September 18, 1919 and was the daughter of Ausguste and Florence Deyber.

Dawna spent her youth in Tarentum and moved to Kittanning when she married Harry Nicely. She was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and preached many sermons throughout her life. Dawna was the bookkeeper for her husband's garbage business and retired from the Mid-County Transit Authority where she worked as a dispatcher; she also served on the Fourth Ward Council for the borough. Dawna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was a wonderful friend to all who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished by her grandson, Earl Frederick Laird II, and great-grandchildren, Earl Frederick Laird III and Holly Laird.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Harry Niceley; and daughter, Susan Jane Laird.

Friends will be received from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA, where funeral services will follow at 7 PM with the Rev. Dana Wilmot officiating.

Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
