Andrew P. "Andy" Wyant, 72, of Kittanning, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on June 20, 1953 in Kittanning, PA; the son of James M. and Margaret "Jean" (Pryde) Wyant.

Andy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He made his home in Kittanning in 1999 and dedicated a 44-year career to the Veterans Administration Healthcare System, serving in New York, Ohio, Massachusetts, Arkansas, South Carolina and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Andy was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Andy had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed cruising the winding roads of Western Pennsylvania. He was a skilled photographer who previously worked for the Leader Times. An avid reader, Andy often finished three to four books each week. He loved spending time in his garage, also known as his "man cave", where he would cheer on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams. A true car enthusiast, Andy was always researching and planning for his next vehicle purchase. He also cherished vacations to the Outer Banks and treasured the time spent with family at Bella Lieu, along the Allegheny River.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Russick) Wyant, whom he married on July 22, 1989; two sons, Aaron (Shannon) Wyant, of Virgina and Christopher Wyant of Kittanning; his siblings, Gretchen (Steve) Black of Kittanning, Greg (Carole) Wyant of Kittanning, and Carol (William) Yost, of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Andy's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the AHN Home Hospice for their excellent care and compassion in caring for Andy in his final days.
