John M. Connolly, Jr.

John M. Connolly, Jr., 58, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1968 in Kittanning, PA, the son of John M. Connolly, Sr. and Donna A. (Haye) Connolly.

John was a 1986 graduate of Kittanning High School and earned his Master's Degree in English from Slippery Rock University. He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and worked as Director of Advertising for various media companies throughout his career.

John enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish football. He loved cooking, was an avid movie buff, and was known for his great sense of humor. John also enjoyed fishing and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

His memory will be cherished by his son, John M. Connolly, III and wife, Anna of Slippery Rock; daughters, Dr. Mary Connolly of Pittsburgh and Jenny Scadden and husband, Sean of Florida; and his girlfriend, Faith Ann John-Hidalgo.

John will also be missed by his brother, Bud Boarts and wife, Lori of Kennebunkport, ME; sisters, Margarette A. Connolly of Kittanning and Tom Toy of Adrian and Brenda Ceranski and husband, Ken of Fairmount City; numerous nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Mallory Boarts and special nephew, Karl Ezepak

John was preceded in death by his parents, and step-father, William F. "Bill" Hohl, Jr.

Family and friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of his Blessing Service at 1 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA with The Very Reverend Eric J. Dinga, V.F. officiating.
