Lois Jean Elliott

Lois Jean (Blystone) Elliott, 82, of Plumcreek Township, Armstrong Co., PA, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at St. Andrews Village in Indiana, PA.

She was born November 7, 1943 in South Bend Township, PA to Arthur Blystone and Ethel (Harman) Blystone Zanotti.

Lois graduated from Elderton High School in 1961 and was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church. She worked at many places throughout her life, including Robert Shaw Controls of Indiana, PA and several sewing factories in Indiana and Armstrong Counties. Lois was also employed as a manager at Beeline Fashion, a personal care aid at Cherry Hill Manor and an in-home adult caretaker until her retirement in 2005. Lois served as a former member of the board of directors of the Ox Hill Fair in Indiana County and belonged to the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge #1468 of Indiana, PA. She was also instrumental in the origin of Elderton Food Bank and was the former head of the organization. Her favorite hobbies were dancing, attending local fairs and festivals, cooking and baking.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Cindy Lou Sayers (Randy) of Ivanhoe, VA; grandchildren, Zackary David Chenault, Dalton M. Scholik, Mackenzie Scott Hall, Jackson Ross Johnson and Ryder J. Elliott; great-grandchildren, Everlee Elaine Chenault, Collins Chenault, Devion Kenneth Hall, and Landon David Chenault; companion, Samuel Anthony Damore, of Plumcreek Twp.; daughter-in-law, Kristie Elliott (Chuck Pavlosky) of Seward; sister, Betty Eileen Stoker of Indiana, PA; and brother, Donald Leroy Blystone of Vandergrift.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Robert James Elliott, whom she married October 31, 1970 and who died February 20, 1985; her son, Kenneth James Elliott; and a sister, Florence Louise Lipsie

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of funeral services at 3 PM on Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Clark Chapel of Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA, with Pastors Todd and Tammy Porter co-officiating.

Interment will be at Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery, Shelocta, PA.
