Marilyn "Jean" LaSitis
Marilyn "Jean" LaSitis, 89, of Ford City, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 at LECOM at Snyder Memorial in Marienville, PA.She was born September 25, 1936 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Theodore M. Mason and Helen Marie (Wray) Mason-Craig.
Jean was a 1954 graduate of Kittanning High School and attended Clarion University. For over 23 years, she worked at the Armstrong County Court House in the assessment office and previously worked at PPG in downtown Kittanning. An active member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Jean served faithfully as a deacon and enjoyed being part of Club 55. She formerly enjoyed golfing and participating in the Girls' Birthday lunch groups. Jean was also a member of TOPS and an avid reader.
Her memory will be cherished by her family, Theodore (Debra) LaSitis, of West Kittanning and Marienville; sister, Nancy (Joseph) Schneider, of North East; niece, Heather (Chris) Weibel and children, Joseph, Emily and GraceAnne of Meadville; step-sister, Jane (David) Fletcher and daughter Emily (Steven) Norman and children Colton and Landon of Freetown, IN; step-grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Barton and Todd (Julie) Barton; and step-great-grandchildren, Bailey, Owen, Ava, and Brady Barton of Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Roy Craig; and step-sister, Judy Allen.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA with Rev. John Hopkins officiating.
Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Jean's memory to Orphans of the Storm, PO Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201 or Grace Presbyterian Church, 155 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
