Dennis Lee "Denny" Rolls, 78, of Home, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1947, Indiana, PA, the son of John A. "Jack" Rolls and Dorothy Lou (Malburg) Rolls Smith.

Denny proudly served six years in the National Guard from 1964 until 1970. He retired in 2013 as a grocer from BiLo Foods in Indiana, PA. He was a devoted member of the Plumville Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, where he served as fire chief for three years. Denny enjoyed hunting, sharing jokes, and spending time at Ocean City, where he loved walking the beach with his metal detector. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, he had a special way of making friends and family feel as though they had known him forever.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mary Lou Rolls, whom he married on Aug. 8, 1970; sisters-in-law, Lillie Miller and husband, Jerry of Rochester Mills, Linda Ferraro of Marion Center and Tina Barkley of Punxsutawney; nephews, JD Ferraro and wife Stephanie, Bob Ferraro and wife Kate, Joe Ferraro and wife Stefanie; and great-nieces and nephews, JJ, Olivia, Emily, Ben, Oliver, and Philip.

Denny's family would like to extend a special thank you his caregiver Gabriella Jones and her son, Avery for loving care and support.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Wilbert D. "Smitty" Smith; and brothers, Greg Rolls, Brian Rolls, and John Rolls; and step-sister, Sandra Reed.

Friends and family will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at the Mausoleum in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, 1290 Butler Rd, Worthington, PA 16262 with the Pastor James Asberry officiating.

Entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Denny's memory to the Plumville Volunteer Fire Dept., 109 Indiana St., Home, PA 15747.
