Stephanie L. (Jumba) Duckstein
Stephanie L. (Jumba) Duckstein, 82, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Kittanning Health and Rehab Center.She was born on February 8, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA; the daughter of Stephen Jumba and Mary (Elish) Jumba.
Stephanie was a devoted member of the Christ Prince of Peace in Ford City, PA. She was active in her faith as a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, LCBA, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Stephanie also gave generously of her time as a cheerleading coach, worked for 22 years as a Teacher's Aide with the Armstrong School District, and served her community as Judge of Elections for over 15 years.
Stephanie had a special gift with children and cherished every moment spent with her family. She was known for her warmth and ability to connect to everyone and could talk to everyone and anyone. She had a love for sewing, her purses and jewelry, all things bright and shiny, and she never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Her kind heart and radiant smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband George M. Duckstein, Jr. whom she married August 31, 1963; one daughter; Regina M. Duckstein and husband David Balsone of Ford Cliff, PA; two sons, George M. Duckstein III and wife Lori of Clewiston, FL and Steven E. Duckstein and wife Marsha of Winchester, VA; eight grandchildren, Tayne (James) Johns, Julia (Alexander) Stogran, Noelle Selden, Stephen Selden, Sydney (Justin) Gibbs, Skylar (Liam) Tonns, Tyler Duckstein and Ian Duckstein; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Bolton of Baldwin, PA and Angela Lipchick and husband John of Monroeville, PA and one brother, Stephen Jumba and wife Sharon of Swissvale, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sister Brenda Jumba S.C.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Christ Prince of Peace Church, 718 Fourth Ave., Ford City, PA with The Very Reverend Eric J. Dinga, V.F. as celebrant.
Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Manor Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
