Amy Verner Campbell

Amy (Verner) Campbell, 48, of Worthington, PA, was reunited with her son Evan in heaven after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2025 at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA.

She was born on July 16, 1977 in Middletown, OH; the daughter of Samuel W. Verner, Jr. and Martha R. (Rylander) Andisik.

Amy graduated from Downingtown High School in 1995 and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Greg.

Amy was a member of Christ Our Hope Anglican Church of Natrona Heights. She worked as a paralegal with Mechling and Heller, LLP for six years and was an active volunteer with Connections of Armstrong County, always willing to give her time to help others.

In her younger years, Amy played the flute and guitar. She has always cherished time spent at the Verner family cabin and at the lake in Bolivar. Amy enjoyed taking long walks with her husband and daughters, painting, and capturing the beauty of sunrises through her photography. She treasured family vacations and especially loved spending time with her girls. Amy never missed their band concerts and Abby's dance recitals, proudly cheering them on every step of the way. Being their mom was her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Greg R. Campbell, whom she married on June 29, 2002; her daughters, Cara Grace Campbell and Abigail Brennen Campbell, both at home; her father Samuel Verner and wife, Jeanne of Ligonier, PA; mother, Martha Andisik and husband, Don of Yorkville, NY; and her brothers, Joshua Verner and wife, Taylor of Downingtown, PA and Scott Verner of Belle Vernon, PA.

Amy will also be missed by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Greg and Nancy Campbell, New Bethlehem; brothers-in-law, Christopher Campbell and wife, Heather of Connellsville, PA and Jonathan Campbell and wife, Lindsey of Hondo, TX; nieces, Ella Verner, Valerie Verner, Sade Campbell, Lilly Campbell, and Hannah Campbell; and her nephews, Alex Verner, Isaiah Campbell, Samuel Campbell, Ethan Campbell, and Owen Campbell.

Amy was preceded in death by her infant son Evan William Campbell who passed away on Feb. 10, 2007; paternal grandparents, Sam and Lois Verner; and her maternal grandparents, Gustave and Nancy Rylander.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026 at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, 926 Painter Ave, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 with the Fr. John Bailey officiating.
