William S. "Bill" Wiant, Sr.

William S. "Bill" Wiant, Sr., 79, of Rimersburg, PA passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1944 in Climax, Clarion Co., PA; the son of Lester and Genevieve (Burford) Wiant.

Bill worked in the casting department at Eljer, retiring in 2006. He was a life member of the Carwick Wesleyan Church where he faithfully served as a board member and superintendent. He enjoyed dining out and spending time with his family.

Bill and, Pauline loved and cared for 259 foster children over years. He found the good in all things and was loved by many. Bill was a kind, loving man, who never met a stranger and held whomever he met in the highest regard.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Pauline J. (Guntrum) Wiant, whom he married on May 27, 1978; his sons, Gary Wiant and wife Nicki of Shippenville, William Wiant Jr. and wife Heather of Rimersburg, Andrew Wiant of Weirton, WV, Gary Billotte of Rimersburg and David Love of East Brady; daughters, Heather Marsh and husband Mike of Rimersburg, Koni Wiant of Clarion, and Chloe Lamielle and husband Danny of Havelock, NC; grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Braxton, Peter, Regan, Benson, Joseph, Cole, Dane, Eli, Elliott and two foster granddaughters; great-grandchildren, Remington and Adaline; and a nephew, Kenneth Corle and wife, Missy of Rimersburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harrison "Bud" Wiant, Jerry Wiant, Robert "Bob" Wiant, Donald Wiant, Gary Wiant, and Bruce Wiant; and his sisters, Victoria Nunnamaker and Patricia Duncan.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Carwick Wesleyan Church, 163 Carwick Rd, Rimersburg, PA.

Additional visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Carwick Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Gary Guntrum officiating.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.

Contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the Carwick Wesleyan Church.
