James Eric Hutchison

James Eric Hutchison, 50, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 at his home.

Eric was born April 28, 1971, in Kittanning, to James H. and Susann K. (Kunselman) Hutchison.

After graduating from Freeport High School in 1989, James served in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in sports medicine. He enjoyed hunting, and was an avid fisherman; he especially enjoyed fishing in Canada. Eric adored his two dogs, Geeda and Alaric and will be lovingly remembered for his generosity to others.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Susann K. Hutchison of Kittanning; his sisters, Tracy Sue Derouin and husband, Chris of Valencia, PA and Betsy Ann Tucker and husband, Jerry of Bolivar, OH; nieces and nephews, Michal James Derouin, Matthew Christopher Derouin, Elizabeth Susann Hutchison, and Violet Ann Hutchison.

Eric was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at Slatelick United Presbyterian Church, 106 Brown Rd, Freeport, PA 16229.

Memorial contributions may be made in Eric's memory to a local animal shelter of one's choice.
