James Leroy Bigley, 85, of Shippenville, PA passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born October 1, 1932 in Rimersburg, PA, the son of Ralph and Twila (Wensel) Bigley.

James attended Union Schools and honorably served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed as a welder for Pullman Standard and also at the William B. Pollock, Co., in Youngstown, OH .James was of Protestant faith and was happiest when doing yard work especially tending to his flower gardens.

His memory will be cherished by his sons, Terry Bigley and James Bigley and wife, Karen, all of Poland, OH, and Gary Bigley and wife, Vicki, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jimmy, Aaron, Noah and Hailey Jo Bigley; great-grandson, Cameron; sister, Betty Ann Duchnowski, of Erie; and his caretaker and beloved friend, Rose Sherbine.

James was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Faye Elizabeth (Confer) Bigley, whom he married November 23, 1974 and who died June 7, 2016; and brothers, John Bigley and Ralph Bigley, Jr.

At the family's request, services will be private.

Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.
