Mr. Joseph Dominic Rugini, age 68, of Kittanning died Saturday, October 14, 2107 at Oakland Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Nov. 15, 1948 in Kittanning, Armstrong County, PA to Domenic and Ruby (Yockey) Rugini.

Mr. Rugini graduated in 1966 from Kittanning High School. He was a Sargent in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his seven years of service, Joe was an Air Armament Mechanic in the 12th Tactical Fighter Wing at Cam Ranh Bay AB, Vietnam. Joe was a life member of the V.F.W. and had held the office of Quartermaster of the former Kittanning Lodge. He retired as a service technician for Continental Health Equipment of Kittanning.

He is survived by a daughter, Tracy Rearick and companion Robin Bendishaw of New Salem, PA; two grandsons, Dustin and Devon; and two great-grandsons; five sisters, Patricia Simpson of Freedom, PA, Elizabeth Brice and husband Leslie of Ford Cliff, PA, Susan Fidler of Chugiak, AK, Paula Krammes of Reading, PA, and Annette Normile and husband Mark of South Park, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Nancy Jo Rugini.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
