Rosalie J. Brown

Rosalie J. Brown, 68, of Worthington, PA, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 25, 1948 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Earnest and Betty M. I. (Richards) Cravener.

Rosalie was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County and graduated from Lenape Tech in 1966. She was first employed at the G. C. Murphy department store in Kittanning. She later worked in the payroll department for Adams Steel Erection for 17 years and in the payroll department for Alpha Steel for three years. Rosalie also did the bookwork for Worthington Hardware and was the tax collector for Worthington Borough for 35 years.

Later in life, she graduated from Geneva College, where she studied small church ministry. Rosalie was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where she also served as lay pastor and bookkeeper. In her free time, she loved crafting and traveling with her husband, Daniel. Together they went on numerous international trips and had many wonderful memories. Rosalie will be best remembered for her caring spirit.

She will be remembered with love by her husband, Daniel O. Brown, whom she married August 14, 1976.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Edward and Earnest Cravener.

Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 150 East Brady Rd., Kittanning, with the Rev. Kathleen Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
