Linda L. Moore

Linda L. Moore, 70, of Rural Valley, PA, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her home and is now with her Lord and Savior.

She was born October 31, 1946 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of George B. and Gladys (Rudolph) Hileman.

Linda graduated from Elderton High School in 1964 and from Robert Morris Junior College in 1965. For nine years, she worked as a secretary at the Kittanning office of Mellon Bank. Linda also worked for Central Tax Agency in Kittanning and in 1979 moved to Carlisle, PA with her husband and family. She was employed by the Department of Navy for 23 years, retiring in March of 2003.

Linda was a lifelong member of Christ Rupp Lutheran Church of Kittanning. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, working in her flowerbeds, reading a good mystery or biography, crocheting gifts and volunteering for events at the Kittanning Township Fire Hall, as her health permitted.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 41 years, Larry L. P. Moore; sons, Steven P. Moore and wife, Heather, of Louisburg, NC, and William L. Moore and wife, Michelle, of Lake Park, GA; step-son, Larry L. P. Moore, Jr., of Newville, PA; step-daughter, Terri Jean Moore, of Brackenridge; beloved grandchildren, Suzanna, Madison, Hunter and Kaden; brothers, Edward G. Hileman and companion, TaLana Sexton, and Dean B. Hileman, all of Valdosta, GA; nieces, Wendy Holler and husband, Tom, and daughter, Caitlyn, of Marysville, PA, and Kimberly Deana Hileman, of Valdosta, GA; close sisters-in-law, Betty Lou Murray and companion, Don O'Malley, of Freeport, and Kim Hanan and husband, Denny, of Vandergrift; and nephews, Dan Greenawalt and wife, Patty, and Len Greenawalt.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the funeral home, with Rev. Arlene Schweitzer officiating.
