Edward L. Faulkner

Edward L. Faulkner, 73, of Sligo, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Clarion Hospital.

He was born November 10, 1943 in Phillipston, PA, the son of Raymond W. and Iris L. (Hartman) Faulkner.

Ed was a lifelong resident of the area. He formerly worked at Murphy's Coal Tipple and then later was employed at Eccles Nursery. Ed enjoyed watching the Steelers and WWF Wrestling, also loved playing poker with his family.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, LaRose L. (Ferris) Faulkner, whom he married November 10, 1996; step-sons, Raymond Troup and wife, Paulette, and Rodney Troup, all of Sligo; step-daughter, Theresa Faulkner, of New Bethlehem; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis A. Faulkner and companion, Debbie Brown, of Brookville; sisters, Mary McCamant, of Clarion, Helen M. Haggerty, of Shippenville, and Vivian P. Merryman and husband, Rick, of Rimersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William R. Faulkner, who died in 1987, and Franklin W. Faulkner, who died in 2010; and sister, Carrie Kelly, who died in 1976.

At Ed's request, services will be private.
