Barbara Ann Snyder

Barbara Ann Snyder, 72, of Avonmore, PA, formerly of Wilson, NC, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at her home.

She was born June 14, 1944 in York, PA, the daughter of Harry Jefferson and Mary Louise (Harris) Davis.

Barbara lived in Pennsylvania most of her life but called Wilson, NC home for 26 years. She took great pride in her calling as a certified nursing assistant and served residents of various nursing homes for over 46 years. She also found great joy in singing beautiful songs for retired citizens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Snyder, of Avonmore; sons, Jerry Espey, of South Bend Twp., Dale Espey, of Tennessee, and Keith Espey, of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Haywood Wilkerson, who passed away January 26, 2011; and sister, Ellen George.

At Barbara's request, services will be private.
