Betty Louise Reesman
Betty Louise Reesman, age 75, of Dayton, PA, died on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.She was born on July 9, 1937, in Kittanning, Armstrong Co., PA, the daughter of Walter and Anna Mae (Zellefrow) Anthony.
Betty lived in the area most of her life and devoted her life to caring for her family. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed dirt track racing and watching NASCAR. In her spare time Betty liked talking on her CB radio, bowling and playing bingo with her friends. Cooking was a passion of hers, and she loved watching cooking channels and creating delicious meals for her friends and family. Those who knew her will remember her love of joking and making people laugh, and her witty sense of humor.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 54 years, William Reesman; sons, Terry Anthony, of Dayton, PA and Brian Reesman and wife, Kirstine, of Worthington; nine grandchildren, Terry Anthony, Craig Anthony, Megan Anthony, Allie Reesman, Lacey Reesman, Brooke Reesman, Laney Birch, Lacey Birch, and Kaitlyn Reesman; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Rev. Walter "Bud" Anthony of Seneca, PA; one sister, Loretta Kissinger of Kittanning.
She was preceded in death by her parents and also by a sister, Aretta Sinclair.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 East Main Street, Dayton, PA.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Walter Anthony officiating.
Burial will follow at Copenhaver Crossroads Cemetery, Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's honor to the American Cancer Society, Armstrong Unit, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
