Janet Emery

Janet (Kline) Emery, age 92, of Ford City, PA, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 22, 1920 in Kittanning, PA to Frank J. and Zetta Mae (McCollim) Kline.

Janet was a resident of Kittanning most of her life and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1939. She devoted her life to caring for her family and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kittanning. In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting and traveling, and recently she liked working crossword puzzles.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Janet Kay Bright and husband, David, of Chicora, Elizabeth L. Grafton and husband, Arnold, of Kittanning, and Deborah Ann Knopic and husband, Joseph, of Cheswick; grandsons, Eric Bright and wife, Sandra, Jonathan Bright and wife, Cynthia, Todd Grafton and wife, Amy; granddaughters, Heather Grafton, Amber Harvey and husband, Darren, Amanda Klink and husband, Dan; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Della McCanna, of Ford City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 67 years, Harvey Emery, who passed away December 1, 2009; great-grandson, Shane Schaub; brothers, Charles and William Kline; and sisters, Margaret George, Luella Jane Bowser and Annabelle Breghenti.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Inc., Worthington, Pennsylvania.
