Winfield Paul Jewart
Winfield Paul Jewart, age 93, of Ford City, PA., died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Armstrong County Health Center.

He was born on November 24, 1918 in Kittanning, Armstrong Co., PA to Winfield Sharp and Leota (Pryor) Jewart.
Mr. Jewart was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church of Ford City, PA. He was also a member of Seneca Masonic Lodge #805, New Castle Consistory, Syria Shine, Local Caravan #22, and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. of Ford City, PA and a former member of the Elks Lodge #203 of Kittanning, PA. He was employed as manager/purchasing agent with Standford Lumber Company of Apollo, PA for 15 years until his retirement in 1982. He previously was employed at the former Rural Valley Lumber Co., from 1947 to 1967 and also worked for the former A&P Tea Co. both of Rural Valley. He graduated in 1935 from Rural Valley High School where he was a previous resident before moving to Ford City in 1967. He had served in the US Army as a Sergeant during WWII and is a decorated war veteran. Along with his wife, he traveled extensively across the United States and many foreign countries. He enjoyed spending time with his family, ballroom dancing with his wife and playing cards.
He is survived by his daughter, Paulette Neigh and her husband Floyd of Dayton, PA; four grandchildren, Gregory Neigh and his wife Kim of Punxsutawney, PA, Timothy Neigh of Templeton, PA, Rachel Baum and her husband Rick of Greenville, SC, Regina Powell and her husband Wayne of Dayton, PA; and ten great grandchildren, Cameron Neigh, Austin Neigh, Grace Neigh, Collin Baum, Dylan Baum, Grant Baum, Mackenna Baum, Erica Walter, Kasey Walter and Zachery Walter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winfield Sharp who died in 1974; his mother, Leota (Pryor) Jewart who died in 1976; his wife Glenamae M. (Thomas) Jewart whom he married April 13, 1941 and who died March 8, 2011; one infant brother, James Jewart; and his sister, Hazel Smith.
At Paul's request, visitation and funeral services were private.
Burial was in the Rural Valley Cemetery, Rural Valley, Armstrong Co., PA.
